Uganda Cranes midfielder Kizito William Luwagga scored Hapoel Kfar Saba’s winning goal in their 2-1 victory over Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Turkish Premier League on match-day one.

Kizito’s decisive goal at Levita stadium came after 79 minutes adding to Omer Fadida 20th minute strike for the hosts.

Omri Atman had gained advantage for the home side in the 68th minute but his goal was turned into a mere consolation in Saturday match-up.

The goal was Luwagga’s 4th in 5 games, with three coming in the Israel Toto Cup where Hapoel Kfar finished in 8th position last season.

Victory took Hapoel Kfar Saba to 3rd place on the log with maximum points amassed from match day one and will play their next match against M. Petach-Tikva next Saturday.


Elsewhere, Fahad Bayo made his debut at his new team Ashdod SC coming off the bench in the 79th minute as his team failed to overturn 2-0 deficit to Ironi Kiryat Shmona. Bayo replaced Dean David and featured for Eleven minutes.

Ashdod will next visit Hapoel Tel Aviv at Bloomfield stadium on Saturday, 12th September in their next league duel.
