Players Abroad: Lubega Off the Mark for Paide, Waiswa Features in Supersport Win

Uganda Cranes forward Edrisa Lubega’s strike was not enough as his Paide Linnameskond side faced elimination from Estonian Cup after decisive spot kicks on Wednesday.

Lubega scored on the 88th minute mark as Paide played to a 2-2 draw with Tulevik but the former went on to face a 3-2 defeat after the penalty shootouts.

Midfielder Moses Waiswa also played full time as Supersport United claimed a slim 1-0 victory against Stellenbosch 1-0 in the DStv Premiership.

Still in South Africa, goalkeeper Dennis Onyango Masinde was on the giving end as his Mamelodi Sundowns side defeated Cape Town City 2-0 at the Cape Town stadium.

In Zambia, custodian Mathias Kigonya was in goal for Forest Rangers during their 1-0 slim win over Zesco FC in the Zambia MTN Premier league.

In Vietnam, Moses Oloya played full-time for Hanoi FC as they registered a 4-2 victory over Sài Gòn in the V. League 1 Playoff. Geoffrey Baba Kizito also played the entire 90 minutes as his Than Quang Ninh side suffered a 1-0 defeat to Viettel FC.
