Players Abroad: Khalid Aucho on Target in Misr El Makkasa Victory

Al Ittihad Alexanderia 1-3 Misr El Makkasa

Uganda Cranes midfielder Khalid Aucho was on target in Misr El Makkasa’s 3-1 win against Al Ittihad Alexanderia in the Egyptian Premier League on Monday.

Aucho went off the mark in the 71st minute of the second stanza after converting Mohamed Gaber’s assist which was the second for Makkasa at Alexanderia Stadium.

Amr Maley (29th) and Mohammed Gaber (86th) scored the other two goals for the visitising side while substitute Khaled Kamar netted Al Ittihad’s consolation in the 59th minute.

The goal was Aucho’s second for the season with the first one coming on his debut against Aswan FC in September.

After 25 matches, Misr El Makkasa went on 30 points in the 8th position, five points below 5th placed Ittihad Alexanderia who have a game in hand.

Elsewhere, roving right back Nicholas Wadada played full time as Azam FC registered a slim 1-0 win over Polisi Tanzania at Chamazi Sports Complex.


Obrey Chirwa headed home the lone goal off a superb delivery from Prince Dube giving Azam maximum points in the Tanzania Premier League 2020/2021 season opener.

Also, striker Farouk Miya scored for Konyaspor during their pre-season duel against Beyaz Takimir at Konya Metropolitan Municipality Stadium ahead of Turkish Premier League 2020/21 season kick-off.
