Players Abroad: Fahad Bayo Wins it Late for Ashdod

Uganda Cranes talisman Fahad Bayo Aziz scored a late winner as his Ashdod FC side pipped Beita Jerusalem 2-1 in the Israeli Premier league game played at Teddy Stadium, on Monday.

Bayo scored in the 93rd minute off a rebound from a loose ball inside the area to hand Ashdod maximum points in Jerusalem. The goal was his second in 11 appearances since joining from Vipers SC in July this year.

Dean David drew first blood in the game for the visitors after 11 minutes before Nigerian Ali Mohammed drew matters level to ensure a 1-1 halftime score.

After 13 games, Ashdod now sits in fourth position on 22 points and will play against H. Kiryat Shmona in their next League fixture on Saturday 2nd January 2021 at the Kiryat Shmona Municipal stadium.

Still in the diaspora, Jordan Obita was on target (13th minute) for Oxford United in their 2-0 win over AFC Wimbledon in the English league one while Elvis Bwomono played full-time as his Southend side claimed a 2-0 win over Colchester in the England League Two.

In the English Championship, Ulke Ikpeazu Mubiru was an unused substitute as Wycombe Wanderers lost 2-1 loss to Bristol City.

In the Egyptian Premier League, forward Allan Kyambadde came on at halftime and provided an assist as El Gouna edged Aswan 1-0 while Khalid Aucho featured in Misr El Makkasa’s 1-1 against Al Masry
