Pioneer Bus Sued Over Death of Prisons Officer

A few months after Pioneer Easy Bus Company returned to Kampala roads having been grounded for years over tax arrears, buy information pills the company has been dragged to court for allegedly knocking dead a Prison’s officer by the names Sgt. Paul Alyao.

The deceased’s seven orphans have petitioned court seeking the bus company to compensate them with Shs. 100 million.

These contend that Nathan Isabirye the bus driver who caused the accident that killed their father in July 2015 was driving recklessly.

According to court documents, medical Sgt Alyao was knocked by a speeding Pioneer Easy bus while he was riding on a motorcycle along Kampala Road. He died of severe injuries from the accident at Mulago Hospital.

The orphans who are all minors claim compensation they are seeking will cover their education and other life needs that were being provided by the deceased.

Court has given Pioneer Easy Bus Company and its driver Nathan Isabirye 15days to respond to these claims.
