Maroons FC striker Steven Desse Mukwala and KCCA FC manager Mike Hillary Mutebi have been named as the Pilsner best player and coach respectively for the month of November 2019 in the ceremony held at Kati Kati restaurant Lugogo.
The magnificent striker scored seven goals in the month of November to take his personal tally to 10 goals to lead the scorer’s chat.
“This is a big achievement for me. I thank my coach Douglas Bamweyana who has improved me a lot this season. He has instilled confidence in me and given me enough playing time and i credit him so much for this,” Mukwala said after winning.
The on loan striker from Vipers SC took home two man of the match accolades during the month of November against Police FC and Wakiso Giants.
He scored two goals against Wakiso Giants and Police FC, with the other three goals coming against the Express FC, Busoga United and Proline.
To win the accolade, Mukwala saw off competition from KCCA duo of Sam Ssenyonjo and Allan Okello.
Meanwhile, Mutebi outcompeted Vipers’ head coach Edward Golola to the November award.
He guided KCCA to seven wins out of the 9 games played in November, drawing one and losing once away to Mbarara.
“This accolade is for the players i coach. The players have shown the right attitude, worked hard and they have done things perfectly. I commend them for adhering to what they are supposed to do. They have exemplified what they have to do in the last six or seven goals,” Mutebi said.
