Senior Press Secretary to H.E President Museveni, Don Innocent Wanyama on Saturday, 10 November, 2018 made his relationship with longtime girlfriend and baby mama Ritah Kidasa official in a lovely wedding ceremony.
The pair’s wedding took place in Mbale.
Don Wanyama and Ritah exchanged vows at St. Austin’s Church with First Son Maj. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba as one of the witnesses alongside the the couple’s friends and relatives.
They later hosted guests to a reception at Mbale Resort Hotel.
Besides Maj. Gen. Muhoozi, other high profile personalities that attended were; Information Minister Frank Tumwebaze, Hon. Sanya Tanna, Hon. Paul Amoru Omiat, David Mafabi, Lt Col Edith Nakalema, Hon. Jack Wamanga Wamai and events guru Balaam Barugahare among others.
President Museveni was not able to attend in person but gave Wanyama and Ritah words of counsel through video conferencing.
Don Wanyama has since thanked all those who honoured his invitation to his and Ritah’s big day.
“Yes, it finally happened. Ritah and I got the sacrament of Holy Matrimony at St Austin’s Church in Mbale. We thank our families, friends, workmates and everyone else who stood by us in the build-up to this day and also made time to come witness us take our marriage vows.
We are especially indebted to a great committee composed of largely young people who ensured the function was a success. Martin, Tina and team, we really appreciate. You are an amazing team!

Don Wanyama and Ritah have been living together for over ten years and have children together.
Ritah is a lawyer by profession and works with the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs as a State Attorney having joined in October 2013.
