On the 28th of July 2018, the 7th edition of the Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA) Uganda Vintage and Classic Auto Show at the Kampala Sheraton Hotel gardens.
It went down as one of the classiest events on the local social calendar attracting hundreds of car and motor bike enthusiasts to check out at the different vintage automobiles being exhibited.
It was a spirited competition where everyone from car owners to spectators and children got to enjoy themselves. At the end of the fun-filled day, Tor Allan with his 1966 gold Peugeot 404 was emerged overall winner.
Ronald Walusimbi with the Toyopet Corona 1967 and Kakooza Wazzir with the Mark II 22DGL 1980 were 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively.
Cars and bikes aside, fashion ruled as most spectators turned up in outfits from the 70s and 80s styles. Eight year old Gary Gavina Ahabwe, clad in maroon bell-bottoms with matching waistcoat and an afro wig to complete his look, was voted best dressed male.
