Uganda Broadcasting Corporation re-launched Magic FM 100 and rebranded U Magic to Magic1HD on Friday night, at a function that was held at the UBC offices along Nile Avenue.
Magic FM 100 is a radio station that has been in existence for 10 years, hence celebrating the milestone, whereas U Magic was rebranded with a new name, fresh look, sound, feel and with youthful presenters.
“We have re-launched Magic 100 FM and rebranded U Magic to Magic 1 HD to enable us reach and relate with our audience,” said Winston Agaba, Managing Director, UBC
He appealed to all media partners to support them so as to enable them build this national institution.
“We are not here to compete with anyone. UBC looks to be a complementary to others and we strive to inspire,” Agaba added.
JK Kazoora, the managing director at Magic1HD, thanked all guests who graced the event and promised to deliver the best.
“We are going to be airing on Monday, expect mind-blowing experiences from us every day,” Kazoora said.
Uganda Broadcasting Corporation has been in existence for 53 years and she is the mother brand under which these two stations fall.
The red carpet event brought together different socialites and media personalities.
Renowned emcee Daggy Nyce was the host of the event.
