Last Weekend happened to be a family day out at the recently renovated former Spennah Beach, which has since
re-branded to White Sand Beach.
Several revelers in groups of families, couples and friends stormed the beach starting midday till late to have fun.
Spennah Beach, which is located along Entebbe Road, closed shop nearly two years ago over allegations that seven people had been murdered there during the 2015 festive season.
However, it turned out that the main reason for their closure was to give room for expansion to their neighbors Protea Marriott Hotel.
Following almost two years of closure, the management reopened the beach although it will no longer be called Spennah but White Sand Beach.
This makes it the only beach in Uganda with white sand which was specially shipped into the country.
