Photos: South African Rapper AKA Shuts Down Cayenne

South African rapper AKA yesterday night sent revelers into a frenzy with an electric performance at Cayenne Restaurant and Lounge in Bukoto.

The exclusive event attracted Kampala’s ‘A-list’ party people who filled up the Bukoto-based hangout as early as 7 PM in anticipation of the rapper’s performance.

The rap star jumped on stage at exactly 1 am and performed some of his famous hits like ‘All eyes on me” as he was joined by the crowd and several celebrities who sang along and danced to his tunes.

It was indeed an amazing experience as everyone who attended, fully enjoyed and not regretting the moments they spent at the party.

The night also saw entertainment from the ‘king of the East’ Pallaso and Comic Patrick Salvador who this time left aside comedy and did justice to partiers when he mimed several tunes.

Revelers turned up in big numbers

The event was part of the singer’s ‘Bohavamia Birthday World Tour,’ following his birthday earlier on Monday 28 this week.

Speaking about the party, Roger Agamba, the International Premium Spirits Brand manager Uganda Breweries Limited cited that the company values its customers and will always continue bringing big hip-hop artists to the country.


“We value our consumers and for that reason, we’ll continue to bring you the biggest names in the hip-hop entertainment industry. I am more than grateful that everyone enjoyed this event,” said Agamba.

After successfully holding his party in Uganda, AKA will now visit Kenya, Tanzania and top cities in the UAE among others.

“I am delighted that this party went as planned. We are thankful to our partners Johnnie Walker for making this experience possible,” said Malembe’s Joseph Mbabazi Mwima.

The Kampala version of whirlwind series of fun and entertainment private party was organized by Malembe and Johnnie Walker.

The ‘Prince of South African Rap’ has a number of international awards to his name including ‘Best Street Urban Music Album” and ‘Male Artist of the Year’ at the 18th South African Music Awards (SAMA).

Johnnie Walker has over the years, brought to Ugandans some of their favorite artists with the most recent ones being Nasty C, who equally put up a thrilling party last year in December.
