Most people seem to have long forgotten singer Ziggy Dee, but the Kwepena lovers have a fresh new look of him as they were fully entertained by the dread locked veteran at Legends-Lugogo yesterday.
Revellers started making their way in as early as mid-day and by 2pm, the venue had quite an impressive turn up.
Revelers enjoyed lots of games all day with Kwepena being the main game before being entertained by the surprise artist-Ziggy Dee who stepped on stage at about 8pm.
Ziggy Dee sent the crowd over the moon when he performed his blockbuster hit ‘Eno Mic’ as they danced and sang along word to word.
Other games included blaada, ddulu, Sonko, draft sacks race, Kagulu mooja, Kirindi kirindi, Round game, Kala egoba emesse, Tag of war, Skipping, Kantuntunu and many others.
Kwepena was originally a childhood game of dodging the ball, today it has been modernized with better balls and a measured playing mat.
The event was hosted by comedian Collin Emeka, MC Ronnie and Dave.
There were also lots of Music mixes from DJs Jerry and Tony.
Kwepena was powered by Cheza, a brand that has made a name by adding value to African games in partnership with KQ Hub, Campus Bee, Legends Bar and Galazy FM.
