Kabale was upbeat late last week as Bishop of Kigezi Diocese Rev. George Bagamuhunda gave away his daughter, Faith Bagamuhunda in the Kikiga customary marriage.
The function took place at Kabale preparatory school grounds on Rugarama hill, Kabale municipality.
Faith Bagamuhunda, the second born of the Kigezi cleric works with the security ministry as researcher and scientist.
She was given away to Ernest Rukundo, a Kampala based lawyer with WEB Advocates and Solicitors.
At the function, President Yoweri Museveni in his message that was read for him by the Minister of State for Economic planning David Bahati, implored parents to inculcate good religious morals into their children if they the country is to have better citizens.
President Museveni said parents should not think that government will play every role because they two have a responsible to perform.
Preaching during the same function the Emeritus Bishop of North Kigezi Rev Patrick Tugumetusingwire called upon the two couples to ensure permanency in marriage as God recommends it from Christians. He said that this can only be achieved if the couples have true love with the guidance of God.
A number of dignitaries that included Bishop Patrick Tugumetusingwire, Johnson Twinomujuni, Cranmer Mugisha , Rt. Rev. Dr William rukirande, Rt.Rev. George Katwesigye, Rt. Rev. David Sebuhinja as well Pius Bigirimana the Permanent secretary ministry of gender, MPs Andrew Baryayanga Aja, henry Musasizi, Prossy Akampurira, Catherine Ndamira, Sam Bitangaro, and Eng Denis Sabiti among others.
Faith Bagamuhunda and Ernest Rukundo will exchange their marriage vows on 27th December 2018 at All saint’s church Nakasero.
