PHOTOS: Nyege Nyege Fete Brings World to Jinja

Nyege Nyege, the long awaited for International Music Festival officially kicked off on Friday, attracting people from all over the world.

All roads led to Jinja as revelers of different colors from all corners of the world were seen storming the Nile Discovery Beach.

This 3rd edition of the annual music festival started with different cultural performances like Acholi and Masoga dances.

D.J Aluda officially opened the dance floor by playing thrilling jams that threw everyone in frenzy.

Though the weather was terribly cold and the ground muddy, it never deterred the determined crowd from taking off their shoes and dancing till they dropped.

While most people were already settled in and enjoying the festival, others were spotted setting up their tents and organizing where they would sleep.

The Nyege Nyege festival will be going on till Sunday with different performances from artists like Uganda’s Latinum, Cameroonian singer Reniss, Ghanaian DJ/producer Gafacci among others.

This festival is a gathering most unique and it is ranked as one of the top ten September festivals.
