The Busiro East legislator introduced her new husband at a colourful ceremony on Saturday.
The marriage ceremony took Uganda by surprise considering that Nakawuki was not known to be dating the controversial politician.
However, approved it is on record that Nakawuki separated with city businessman Emma Matovu a few years ago.
Matovu, a known FDC supporter, had funded Nakawuki’s campaigns for MP before the couple called it quits over counter accusations of extramarital affairs.
The number of Nsambu’s kids remains an issue of speculation but friends say he has kids with two women.
In an interview with a Ugandan daily newspaper after being electing MP for Busiro East, Nakawuki gave reasons that would make her dump her husband: “Extramarital affairs – most unforgivable. And if he chose to take on another wife, I would just go. I cannot share my home with a co-wife.”
Who is Nsambu?
Nsambu studied at the United States International University in San Diego and at the Technical University of Braunschweig in Germany. He has a bachelor’s of international relations and a master’s of political science.
From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Nsambu worked as the coordinator and officer-in-charge of the Exchange Students’ Program of the European Union at the Technical University of Braunschweig in Germany.
In 2006, he became a Member of Parliament for Uganda. Over the next five years, he served as minister of state for Information Communications and Technology and was a member of the presidential and foreign affairs committee of Parliament.
In 2012, he was appointed ambassador to Eritrea, but he ended up not going. Instead, he travelled to Canada.
