Investment and Privatisation Minister Evelyne Anite has today Saturday graduated at Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, United States.
On June 28, 2018, Anite wrote to the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga saying she had enrolled for the Global Masters of Arts Program in International Relations and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
“I am scheduled to attend class for my Masters Degree from July 5 to 28 August 2018,” she said then.
ChimpReports understands Anite scooped her post graduate degree and graced the graduation ceremony held at the campus on Saturday.
The Fletcher community – faculty, administration, students, and alumni – is actively engaged in the international arena, serving as thought leaders, subject matter experts, and advisors to presidents, policy makers, organizations, and industry.
Back home, Anite is fighting to have Uganda Telecom audited, a move that has since received support from President Museveni.
However, Anite continues to meet resistance from government lawyers as she rattles feathers at the telecom.
She has since been credited for attracting and supporting foreign investors in Uganda.
Anite thanked President Museveni for “total support from start to end of this historic academic journey.”
The lawmaker dedicated the degree to her constituents in Koboko.
The function was graced by Macedonia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Radmila Shekerinska.
