PHOTOS: FDC’s Amuriat Journey to Soroti

FDC Presidential candidate, Patrick Amuriat has this Monday traveled to Soroti, Eastern Uganda to launch his campaigns for the 2021 elections.

In a convoy of branded vehicles, Amuriat left Kampala today morning, making stopovers in various towns where he waved at excited crowds.

Amuriat, who was barefoot, clashed with police in various town.

As per the Electoral Commission guidelines on prevention of spread of Coronavirus, all candidates are supposed to hold small rallies not exceeding 70 attendants.

They are also prohibited from holding mass processions. However, in Jinja and Iganga, Amuriat attracted crowds which followed him throughout the towns.

Many were not wearing masks, raising fears of possible spread of the novel virus. Amuriat is expected to address his mobilisers in Soroti later today.
