Cinderella Sanyu is undeniably one of the biggest female music icons in Uganda.
On Wednesday evening, the “Ndi Mukodo” singer headlined the weekly UG night/Nyt at Space Lounge.
Powered by Uganda Waragi, the night is always intended to celebrate Ugandan music and art.
Fans who trickled in from as early as 7PM were welcomed by bass-thumping Ugandan hits both the past and current times.
They were also treated to Uganda Waragi Cocktails as they waited for the night’s music explosion.
It was after hours of patience and anticipation that Cindy Sanyu’s Band (Band Cindy) took stage at around 12: 20am with an exhilarating cover of Seyi Shay’s “Right Here.”
7 minutes later, the band was joined by the self-proclaimed “King Herself” with “Run this city”, one of her latest solo projects.
Flanked by her thick, talented dancers, Cindy punctuated her stage action with vocals, dance drills and interaction with the fans.
“Is there any lady who knows how to pop it and lock it?” She asked.
It was at that time that a zealous female fan hit the stage to show off her dancing proficiency.
Amidst cheers, Cindy also performed songs like “Ndi Mukodo,” “Still Standing” among others before crowning it off with “Dilemma.”
“Before I go, I just want to let you know that on August 25, 2017, we shall be at Imperial Royale for “A night with Cindy” concert,” she told her fans.
This website understands that Cindy’s show has already been bankrolled by Uganda Waragi with a yet to be established boost.
