Television personality Bettinah Tianah held her first ever Meet & Greet as she fund-raised for the Smart Girl Foundation over the weekend at Skyz Hotel Naguru.
The dark skinned beauty showed up for her event in a classy pink suit looking stunning as always.
In her speech to the guests, Bettinah encouraged women to love themselves, do what they love and promote their work in order to have the life they desire.
“When you see me posting so many photos of myself on Instagram advertising brands it’s not always about money, it is to show the world that I love myself and proud of my skin color,” Bettinah told the guests.
She added, “Black is beautiful; never try to change yourself for anything. Make sure you promote your work, you will also be recognized internationally.”
With her was Reach a Hand’s Humphrey Nabimanya who also preached women empowerment as they are the future.
“I have known Bettinah since 2009 when she was not this Bettinah you know, I have seen her grow into such a woman and am proud to be a part of this initiative,” Nabimanya stated.
It was an extremely colourful event graced by a number of guests who expressed their joy for Bettinah’s initiative and applauded her.
One of her former workmates in the Hostel, Eron Bazongere said, “I came here mainly for the initiative; girls are the mothers of tomorrow, anyone fighting for them has my full on support.”
“I personally came because I saw the advert and I loved what I saw, I support girl empowerment and this is an amazing initiative,” stated Davin Oyesigye, Head of Media Operations at Xaecia Company.
Bettinah was fund-raising in support of Smart Girl Foundation for girls in Bulamaji Iganga.
The foundation is a girl centered, national organization that empowers and mentors girls to speak out, be decision makers and create visionary change.
