PHOTOS: Ambassadors Moto, Kinobe Handover Office

The new Ugandan Ambassador to London, information pills Julius Peter Moto on Tuesday handed over the previous office he held as the High Commissioner in South Africa.

The office that is to be taken by the former state minister for Karamoja Affairs, Nekesa Oundo, was handed to the Embassy’s Counselor according to a short statement issued by Mr. Moto.

“Today 4th April 2017, I officially handed over The Uganda Embassy in Pretoria to Mr David Wamono, Counsellor. This important function was witnessed by the Senior Staff at the Embassy,” part of the statement read.

He also wished his successor the best for the new assignment.

“May you tow the course and may you support the incoming Ambassador Hon Barbara Nekesa O.”

Moto is replacing Prof. Joyce Kikafunda who was transferred to Canberra, Australia in the last ambassador reshuffle.

Meanwhile the new Ugandan Ambassador to Khartoum, James William Kinobe also handed over the Kinshasa office on Tuesday.

Kinobe was posted to Khartoum in the last reshuffle replacing Dr. Abraham Isamat who was dropped.


He was succeeded in Democratic Republic of Congo by James Mbahimba.
