Hundreds of Pepsi Customers and supporters of the UEFA Champions league on Saturday evening enjoyed a special treat as they watched the Champions league finals between Tottenham and Liverpool
The game added 0-2 in favour of Liverpool making the team a three time winner of the UEFA champions league trophy.
To commemorate the “Win like a Baller” campaign that Pepsi has been running since 11th February 2019, the Crown Beverage producers organised regional events in mbale, mbarara and Lira to allow their customers watch the finals in style.
In Kampala, the event was held at the square where a big number of football lovers watched the thrilling final on a big screen.
While addressing the media, the head of marketing, Crown Beverages limited, Isaac Sekasi said the campaign was a way of giving back to their customers who love football and love to live life to the fullest.
“We do not want our customers to just watch their loved teams play. We want them to be able to be involved by predicting and winning,” he said.
The Win like A baller campaign presented a platform for soccer fans and lovers to win up to 15m weekly in TV draws, instant cash and airtime daily by purchasing the glass Pepsi bottle, checking under the crown for a unique code and sending it to 7888.
According to Mr. Sekasi, since the campaign began, Pepsi has given out over Shs195m to weekly TV draws winners from central, Eastern, northern and western region.
It has also given out Shs 247 million in form of airtime and mobile money. Non cash prizes like Pepsi branded balls, caps, water bottles, t- shirts have also been given out.
Pepsi has over the past four years sponsored the UEFA champions League world over.
Lionel Messi, a Barcelona player and Mohammed Salah, a Liverpool player are the Pepsi brand ambassadors for the UEFA Champions league.
