There is absolutely no doubt that one of the best shows of all time this year just happened on Friday at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
After the ‘Pulse Jam Fest’ ft Chronixx, ‘Bell All star’ concert ft D major and Chris Martin and ‘Ali Kiba live in Kampala’ among others, Kampala partiers thought all was done for this year but all that changed as yet another big show happened.
Needless to say, it has to be Patoranking ‘Live In Wilmer’ concert when comparing the best or stellar shows that have happened in Uganda this year.
We have seen artists who have charmed revelers, making them feel like they are in another world but Patoranking is really a king when it comes to live music. He does it with one heart, not leaving anything to chance.
His ability to command crowds is something not to be silent about. He dictated the temple of his crowd as they watched him perform and couldn’t help but to sing along and dance to his smash hits.
Never will there be a show like Patoranking Live in Concert, for sure; rarely can you find a singer who can hold the entire crowd in his palm like the ‘Suh Different’ hit-maker did Friday night.
Amidst the heavy downpour, the show which was at first looked to be a flop, turned out a success as it saw thousands of revelers embracing the event.
Partiers were seen dancing in the rain while singers Big Trill and Fik Fameica were performing and by that time, there were very negligible numbers at the VVIP section which was making the organizers Evoke, wear sad faces all the time.
The moment it stopped raining, you could see all the 3 sections full with the ordinary section outnumbered.
Patoranking kick started his performance with his hit track ‘Suh Different’ that saw the freezing and looked to be bored partiers start jumping, shouting and uniformly rolling on the song’s lyrics on top of their voices.
He went on to perform his other songs including ‘Wilmer,’ ‘Daniella Whine,’ ‘confirm,’ ‘Happy Day,’ ‘My Woman, My Everything’ and ‘This Kinda Luv’ among others before calling on Fik Fameica to do justice to their ‘Omu Bwati’ hit which made the show even livelier.
The singer revealed that he always communicates with Fik Fameica on daily basis.
Before he could do a capella for his ‘Suh Different’ hit to close the show, he appreciated the audience for enduring through the wait and the rain too.
“Thank you for your love and patience. This confirms to me that you are the best audience ever. I have never seen such a lovely audience who can brave the rain just to wait for an artist, thank you so much, I love you Uganda.”
