Parliament is set to resume on Thursday after suspending business on Tuesday over government’s failure to explain the numerous murder of women in Wakiso district.
The Deputy Speaker, Jacob Oulanyah yesterday adjourned the house when MPs demanded that the ministers of Internal Affairs, Security and Defense and Veteran Affairs should first brief the nation on the mysterious killings.
According to sources, the Executive has already prepared a report that is going to be read on the floor tomorrow.
Clerk to Parliament, Jane Kibirige on Wednesday afternoon sent message to MPs to prepare for the sitting on Thursday.
“The Rt. Hon. Jacob L. Oulanyah, Deputy Speaker of Parliament on Tuesday September 2017 adjourned the plenary sittings sine die. I have been directed to inform you that Parliament will resume the Plenary Sittings on Thursday, 7th September 2017 of 2.00 p.m and you are hereby notified accordingly,” a brief message from the Clerk said.
