Monday started as a normal day for Jackie Namara, a third year finalist at Nkumba University.
Little did she know, she wouldn’t live to see the sun set.
Namara died in a nasty accident in Kajjansi, along Entebbe road.
According to reports, she reluctantly crossed the road at the very time when NRM Secretary General Kasule Lumumba’s convoy was passing.
She was knocked to instant death.
NRM Spokesperson Rogers Mulindwa quoting eyewitnesses, said Namara was talking on phone as she crossed the road.
“The SG’s car got front damages but she escaped with no visible injuries,” he said.
“The NRM hereby sends its condolence message to the deceased’s family and promises to stand with them in this trying moment.”
Mulindwa did not explain whether Lumumba would seek to meet the bereaved family and how much she would contribute towards the burial expenses.
