Followers of the Faith of Unity in Muhorro town council, Kagadi district are mourning the death of Omukwenda Biijabyonka Bisaka, a popular musician and son to the self-proclaimed god, Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka, who founded the cultic religion.
Rays Asiimwe, a family close friend and producer of Sound factory studio where the deceased has been the director confirmed the death this morning.
According to Asiimwe, Biijabyonka, 40, passed on at 1pm at Mulago Hospital where he had been admitted for an undisclosed illness.
Deo Kyabuhanga, a relative says Biijabyonka, the third last born of Owobusobozi Bisaka has been sick for some time.
The deceased gained fame on the Bunyoro music scene in the 2000s with his hit song “Ekyaana Kyentale”.
He composed other songs like Tulyajaguzaga, Sembera and others.
Faith of Unity believers expressed shock after receiving the news of the untimely death.
According to sources inside the palace, Biijabyonka was slated to be buried today at Kampemyi Itambiro headquarters.
