Buganda road chief magistrate Robert Mukanza has adjourned the matter in which nine people are charged with murder and kidnap of accountant Suzan Magara
This followed submissions by state Prosecutor Emily Ninsiima that investigations in the matter are still underway, thereby seeking for an adjournment
Before adjourning this matter, the accused persons brought to the attention of court, allegations that some of their relatives who include children and wives were arrested by some security agencies but up to now their whereabouts are not known.
These, led by Sali Muzamiru informed the magistrate that after their arrest, the security operatives went back to their homes and picked some of their family members.
However, the trial magistrate informed them that their grievances can only be heard when they are formally presented in writing.
The case was adjourned to 12th July for mention
Prosecution contends that these with others still at large on 7th February 2018 kidnapped Ms Magara with intent to procure a ransom or benefit from her liberation from the danger of being murdered.
It further alleges that the accused and others still at large on 27th February at Kigo in Wakiso district murdered Magara.
