Onyango Rushed To Hospital As Sundowns Win Against Polokwane City


Uganda Cranes skipper Dennis Masinde Onyango suffered a scary head injury on Tuesday

Onyango who plies his trade at South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns was rushed to hospital midway through the Premier Soccer League (PSL)  game against Polokwane City.

The shot stopper was stretched off towards the end of the first half after sustaining an injury on the head in attempt for a clearance.

Onyango was hit on the head by Polokwane City striker Mbulelo Wagaba with his elbow.He was put in an ambulance and rushed to hospital with Zambian Kennedy Mweene replacing him.

Ricardo Nascimento and Lebohang Maboe scored a goal each to help Mamelodi Sundowns cruise to a comfortable 2-0 win at Peter Mokaba stadium.

This was Sundowns first win this season after drawing with Kaizer Chiefs 1-1 over the weekend.

Sundowns confirmed Onyango is in a stable state but will undergo several check ups.
