Uganda U17 national team head coach Peter Onen still has the confidence that the team will bounce back despite falling to Ethiopia in the opening game.
The Cubs suffered a 1-0 loss in the first game on Sunday at the U17 CAF regional qualifiers currently ongoing in Tanzania.
Onen according to www.fufa.co.ug is optimistic, the Cubs will return a better side in the next game.
‘It is always hard to approach the first match in such a tournament but I am so optimistic that we shall succeed in our upcoming matches and more conscience is called for to avoid such losses’ said Onen.
He assertd that as a technical team they will try to rectify the mistakes committed in the game against Ethiopia.
“We committed some mistakes and the boys were not clinical enough in front of goal but I believe we shall go back and address that before our next game.” He added.
Uganda will play South Sudan in the next group B game on Friday before facing Kenya and Djibouti.
The winner of the tournament will qualify for the U17 Africa Cup of Nations that will still be played in Tanzania.
