It would not be an overwhelming statement to say Onduparaka FC is by far the most supported team in the Uganda.
The numbers have been evident whenever the Caterpillars are playing regardless of either at home and away.
With the numbers rallying behind the team, the club has taken it a notch higher to start a fundraising drive for a team bus.
Mark Lulua, a media officer with the club revealed to this website that the initiative was ignited by fans but for better collection and accountability, the team management took on the responsibility to further the drive.
” It is the fans that came up with the idea of buying a team bus. Their decision was bought by the club management and the fundraising campaign is now on with some fans already making their contribution.” Confirmed Lulua.
The drive is projected to raise 100 million shillings with a target of getting Ushs 10,000 from ten thousand fans.
” The target for us is to raise one hundred million and because we want everyone to be involved, we have set an affordable amount of ten thousand shillings from ten thousand shillings.” He added.
Asked about the time the project will take, Lulua indicated the club is looking at having the fundraising campaign run throughout this season.
