Oliver Nakakande, 24, has been crowned Miss Uganda 2019 at Sheraton Hotel Kampala.
The beauty queen who hails from Bombo is a student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
Her complexion and flexibility in responding to the judges’ questions directed towards her could probably be the major reason to she stood out from the rest to take the Miss Uganda crown.
Just like Quinn Abenakyo last year, Nakakande’s number was 22.
She was introduced last after all her 21 colleagues had showcased their best catwalk and enticing fashion designs.

The beauty queen takes over from Abenakyo whom everyone is proud of, having represented Uganda at Miss World 2018 contest and later on crowned Miss World Africa.
Speaking at the crowning ceremony, Abenakyo wished Nakakande good luck and above all good health to realize her dreams.
Nakakande could not belive it upon being announced Miss Uganda 2019″To the new beauty queen, I wish you good luck. Remember that we have a lot of tasks to complete and together, I believe we can change this World and make it a better place for the girl child,” said Abenakyo.

“No girl should drop out of school simply because they cant afford sanitary pads. It is our duty to ensure young girls receive quality education.”
The high level event that saw Judges including socialite Zari Hassan and Radio personality Karitas, was organised by Talent Africa and sponsored by MTN Uganda.
