Ugandan forward Emmanuel Arnold Okwi was on the score sheet as Simba Sports Club played out a one all draw against Asante Kotoko of Ghana in a friendly game.
The international friendly game played on Wednesday at the National Stadium was meant to commemorate the Simba Day celebrated annually.
The Tanzanian champions needed to rally from a goal down to salvage a point in the game.
The Porcupine Warriors got into the lead in the 44thminute after striker Obed Owusu capitalized on a rebound from a Michael Yeboah effort.
Simba levelled matters in the 75th minute from Okwi to have the game end in a stalemate.
Before the game, Simba SC unveiled their new signings including Ugandan born Rwandese International Meddie Kagere who was recently signed from Gor Mahia.
Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan kept his side in the game by saving a penalty and was named man of the match.
