Okumbi Names His Strongest Team Against Uganda

Kenya’s Harambee stars coach Stanley Okumbi has released a strong squad for the high profile friendly against the Uganda Cranes on Tuesday August 30 at the Namboole stadium.

Starting between the sticks is Gor Mahia’s first choice goalie Boniface Oluoch with Tusker’s David Okello understudying from the sidelines.

Zambian based center back David ‘Calabar’ Owino who plies his trade at Zesco United will partner with New York Cosmos’ David Ochieng in the heart of defense as Maritzburg’s Brian Mandela and Eric ‘Mercello’ Ouma run the show from the left a right back positions respectively.

Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama returns back to Namboole, sildenafil this time as a captain since the October 11 2011 debacle. The skipper is the only member of the 2011 team that will feature today.

Wanyama will partner with another Zesco united midfielder Anthony Akumu together with Eric Johanna and Francis Kahata to transit the ball to the frontline.
