Following the revision of structure within the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP) in 2018, a new position of Chief State Attorney was created to improve service delivery.
According to Jacqueline Okui, the spokesperson for DPP’s office said that towards the end of June and beginning of July, the Public Service Commission conducted accelerated promotion interviews to fill 29 positions of Chief State Attorney, in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).
“According to the structure, the Chief State Attorney heads a District Office or assists a Regional Officer or heads a Unit or assists a Head of a Section in a Department at the Headquarters in handling the day to day administrative duties of the office,” noted Okui.
The results of the interviews were released by the Public Service Commission this week. The successful candidates have been informed.
Some of the successful candidates include Adubango Harriet, Ainebyoona Happiness, Akandwanirira Sharon, Aliwali Kizito, Alum Lilian O’Mara.
Others are Batson Baguma, Bashabe Peace, Muwaganya Jonathan, Janet Kitimbo, Barbra Masinde, Ivan Nkwasibwe among others.
