National Water and Sewage Corporation (NWSC) employees on Friday joined residents of Mbale town to promote good sanitation and health in the region.
The NWSC employees, mainly those from its Mbale Branch together with Mbale town dwellers cleaned roads and markets in an effort to keep the environment clean.
The NWSC team also donated roadside bins and encouraged residents to stop littering rubbish around the town.
Commenting on the activity, the NWSC Manager Corporate Affairs Samuel Apedel said NWSC is a service delivery organization and part of its responsibility is to keep close and stay connected to the communities that it serves.
“We always endeavor to engage communities so that they are part of our works since they are meant for them. We also make sure that we help out these communities in any way we can,” Apedel said.
