Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, the leader of the National Unity Platform party (NUP) has condemned the security raid the party offices in Karamoja Sub Region.
In the early morning today, joint security forces stormed NUP offices in Moroto during an operation whose motive was yet to be communicated.
The authorities have however, been enforcing the ban on wearing red berets and other attire that resemble the military’s.
Bobi Wine said today that the security team during the operation, “wreaked havoc, arrested our people, beat up others they went as far as searching our candidate’s homes!”
“They are vandalising all materials and are removing our posters all over Moroto,” he said.
“We condemn these actions in the straight terms possible. It’s clear that Museveni is very, very scared we only have to keep pressing,” he added.
Last month, the joint security raided the NUP head offices and confiscated similar items.
