NRM Imposters Arrested

As the National Resistance Movement (NRM)’s Delegates conference draws closer, advice nurse Police in Kampala have arrested two men for trying to con party cadres claiming to be officials in the party.

The arrested have been identified as Ronald Kasule and Henry Taremwa, symptoms an intelligence officer working under State House.

While parading them at CPS in Kampala this afternoon, find Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Patrick Onyango revealed that the two had started conning people of their money promising them job opportunities in the Namboole NRM delegates conference scheduled for next week.

“We arrested these two at IPS building on parliamentary avenue in Kampala after receiving a complaint from one of the NRM party members that there were some people asking for money to get job opportunities in the delegates’ conference for him, we responded to the matter and we managed to get them,” onyango said.

In his confession Kasuule reported that he started doing this after being approached by Taremwa who assured him that he could get job opportunities in the delegates’ conference something that Taremwa denied.

“Sincerely speaking, I am an NRM cadre but I am not well off so I engaged in this act to get an accreditation of a delegate,”

Deputy RCC Kampala Allan Kajik warned the public to be careful especially during the festive season to avoid falling victims of conmen.

Onyango added that with the advice from the DPP, these two are to be charged with cases related to obtaining money with false pretense.


Meanwhile the suspects are under custody at CPS Kampala and investigations are under way.
