
Preliminary results for the National Resistance Movement party Central Executive Committee (CEC) elections have put Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga and her Deputy Jacob Oulanyah in the early lead.
Kadaga, who wants to maintain her position as the NRM 2nd National Vice Chairperson Female, is ahead of her main rival Princess Persis Namuganza, the junior minister of Lands.
Kadaga won in all districts in greater Luwero, Wakiso, greater Masaka, Lango, Teso, Rwenzori and others while Namuganza won in Bulambuli, Ibanda and Kanungu.

For the Northern Uganda Vice Chairperson race Oulanyah is has won in districts in central and Western Uganda while incumbent Sam Engola won in Lango, Acholi and Kampala.
For Western Region Vice Chairperson, Dr. Chris Baryomunsi has won in districts from Kigezi region while incumbent Maj. Gen. Matayo Kyaligonza has won in the central region districts including Luwero.
In Kampala the incumbent, Amoti Nyakana is in the lead closely followed by Salim Uhuru.
For Central Region Vice Chairperson State Minister of Tourism Michael Kiwanda is neck to neck with Moses Kalwanga.
