No Bids For Savio Kabugo, But Future Still Unclear

SC Victoria University star defender Savio Kabugo is a man who has attracted much attention in recent seasons as he continues to excel at both club and country. With his contract up at the end of the season, pills decease where the Bukoto resident will be in six months is unknown, but manager Morley Byekwaso is still hoping to keep him according to a credible source.

“His next contract is a very important one and I would not say it’s not going to be at SCVU. But he’ll make the decision based on the potential on us going forward and what else he can get. All the time there’s a lot of speculation about, let’s face it, a very good player, but the club administration have not had a bid and don’t want a bid. Savio is relaxed about the situation, and we’ve had some transparency to say, ‘look if a foreign team comes in for you we will speak to you.”

The cash stripped Ugandan Premier League (UPL) side owned by Serbian Simo Dubajic and valued at Shs600m is also a subject of a major takeover by Kampala Central Member of Parliament (MP) Muhammad Nsereko.

The club is currently facing a mass exodus of players due to financial instability and with reports that it might not be able to take part in the second leg when the league resumes on 13 February.
