The Uganda Beach Soccer national team, the Sand Cranes will have Salim Muwonge as new head coach.
Muwonge was on Monday unveiled as the new coach for the Sand Cranes in a press briefing held at FUFA headquarters in Mengo, Kampala.
At the same function, the new coach named a 20 man provisional squad that will prepare ahead of the 2019 Africa Beach Soccer Championship.
Uganda will host Ivory Coast at Spennar Beach on 9th September in the first leg of the first round before making the trip to Abidjan for the return leg in two weeks time.
The squad has three goalkeepers and 17 outfield players that will start non residential training on 1st September.
Thereafter the team will be trimmed to a lesser number and will enter residential camp on 3rd September.
