The Rwenzururu Kingdom has made changes in the burial arrangements of Nyinamukama Biira Christine Mukirane, the mother of King Charles Wesley Mumbere.
The burial, which as initially scheduled for mid next week, is being advanced.
According to the latest communication by the Kingdom spokesperson Hon Tumusiime Yonah Maate, the burial which in the old program that had been scheduled to take place on Wednesday next week, has been rescheduled to Tuesday 13th June 2019.
In the new program the final resting place of the deceased will be at Nyamirangara Village in Mukhoye Sub county.
Preparatory meetings, consultation and the vigil as such, he said, remain the same.
“From the requiem service at St Paul Cathedral Kamaiba, we shall proceed to the district council for body viewing and paying the last respects,” Tumusiime added.
The night vigil and the rest of the functions will be held at Nyamirangara.
Nyinamukama, 85, passed away early this week at Kilembe Mines hospital where she had been admitted for some weeks.
