The Uganda national women’s netball team will fly out to Liverpool, England on Friday ready for the 2019 Netball World Cup.
The contingent of 21 -13 players and eight officials- will fly out on Friday afternoon aboard Emirates Airlines.
In Liverpool, they will be accommodated at the Holiday Express hotel just meters away from the main venue at the M&S Bank Arena (known for non-commercial purposes as Liverpool Arena).
The team will travel without team captain Peace Proscovia who they will meet in England.
Other players in the team including; Mary Cholhok, Lilian Ajio, Jesca Achan, Meeme Ruth, Betty Kizza, Racheal Nanyonga, Sylivia Nanyonga, Joan Nampugu, Stella Oyella, Stella Nanfuka and Muhaimuna Naamuwaya.
The officials are; Vincent Kiwanuka, James Bogere, Wilberfoce Mutete, Imelda Nyongesa, Lina Okee, Jocelyne Ucanda, Stephen Ataro and Alice Alweny.
The government has footed all the bills including meals, accommodation, air tickets and allowances.
Every member of the contingent will also receive ten million shillings as a token of appreciation.
The Crested Cranes have been pitted in group D alongside England, Scotland and Samoa.
They start their journey on July 12th against the hosts, England.
Teams will compete in three stages; the Preliminaries Stage One (12-14 July), Preliminaries Stage Two (15-18 July) and the Play-offs and Placings matches (19-21 July.
