Makerere University will this year pass out 297 students with first class degrees, sick http://conversionxl.com/wp-content/plugins/yet-another-related-posts-plugin/yarpp-templates/yarpp-template-multilingual.php from the previous 2013/14 Academic year.
According to Makerere’s Academic Registrar Alfred Namoah, out of the 297 with First class degrees, 157 [52.9%] are males, while 140 [47.1%] are females.
He revealed in a communique today that out of these, 13 were unclassified First Class degrees.
The best performing course was Bachelor of Information Technology which produced 21 First Class degrees, while Bachelor of Science in Computer science had only one.
According to the List, Mr Adriko Rodney, from the School of Information Technology was the most outstanding student, with a Cumulative Grade Point Average [CGPA] of 4.88. He was followed by Ssewante Luke who got 4.81 CGPA from Bachelor of Leadership and Governance.

Ndejje University sports team has been crowned the Nile special USPA (Uganda Sports Press Association) sports team of December 2014.
At the USPA dinner held at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala Ndejje was announced after defeating the Uganda national cricket team for under 19 and Shamim Banji a Badminton player.

445 and the Under 19 cricket team with 404 votes.
While handing over a five hundred thousand shillings cheque to the winners, online Buganda Kingdom minister for Sports Henry Sekabembe applauded USPA members for uplifting the sports standards in the
country especially in Buganda kingdom where they have worked tirelessly to promote both Masaza and Bika cup tournaments.
“Thanks very much for reviving sports activity in Buganda kingdom, on several occasions USPA journalists have promoted a number of sporting events in the kingdom without requesting for a single penny. I would like to congratulate Ndejje University for this great achievement,” said Sekabembe.
Minister Ssekabembe further advised USPA members to embrace the act of accountability and at the same time taking side in wrangles in the sports world of the country.
Muhumuza Wilfred Kato the head of Sports Coordination in Ndejje University applauded USPA for selecting them as the best sports team for 2014 and attributed this achievement to hard work and team work in the university.
USPA president Sabiti Muwanga applauded Buganda Kingdom for promoting sporting activities in the country through its various sports tournaments.
In December 2014 Ndejje University won East African University games with 98 Gold medals,28 Siliver medals and 36 bronze medals in the East African University Games.
