Nbs’s Annatalia Launches Financial Education Project For The Girl Child

NBS Uncut presenter Annet Nambooze alias Annatalia Oze recently launched her savings project at Old Kampala senior secondary school.
The initiative dubbed 365 saving challenge is aimed at encouraging the girl child and women to save for a better life.
“The project focuses mainly on Financial Education for girls between the age of 13 to 18 years, use of Media for Financial Literacy, Financial Literacy and Outreach and Strengthening school clubs and associations,” stated Anna during her remarks at the launch.
She went on to add, “It is true that youth unemployment is a serious problem on the African continent, where the share of the population of young people between the ages of 15-24 is rapidly growing. We need to prepare the young people especially the young girls who are more vulnerable than the boys.”
Anna explained that the #365 saving challenge presents a good platform for the Women of Uganda to mentor the young girls thus, increasing financial inclusion and literacy especially among the young girls of Uganda.
“The project will present an opportunity for young girls to explore opportunities for job creation, entrepreneurship and self-reliance, ” she assured.
It was a prestigious ever graced by a number of dignitaries, artists, media personalities and socialites.

“I am particularly pleased that the Minister of Children and Youth has been able to grace our ceremony and has put aside their valuable time to grace this occasion,” Anna stated.
Other guests included the Representatives from the Women in Politics (NOWIP), NTV news anchor Andrew Kyamagero, singer Khalifa Aganaga, Big Eye among others.

The 365 saving challenge project is aligned to the Global Agenda 2030 which presents an opportunity for young girls to explore opportunities for job creation, entrepreneurship and self reliance & is in line with the govt plan to empower the youth

In conclusion Anna pledged to rally behind more partners to contribute more financial and human resources to enable them reach out to more young girls as well as encourage more of private sector participation inform of Corporate social responsibility initiatives and entrepreneurship support.
