UCU Canons 76-59 Pemba Warriors
Last season’s runners up Uganda Christian University (UCU) Canons overcame Pemba Warriors in game 2 played at the MTN Arena on Wednesday.
Canons defeated Warriors 76-59 to level the series at 1-1 after the latter won game one last week.
The Nicholas Natuhereza coached side proved the better side on the day taking all the four quarters while Warriors looked disjointed throughout the entire game.

There was no improvement for Warriors after recess and UCU Canons maintained their lead winning the third quarter 20-12 to take the scores to 50-33 heading into the final quarter.
Jude Ochieng’s 14 points in the fourth quarter including four 3s could not help the warriors overcome a determined UCU despite having a similar score in the final quarter (26 all). The Mukono based side eventually won 76-59.

The result means, remedy Canons force a game three to determine who advances to the semifinal phase.
In the women’s game played, AI challenge advanced to the semifinals after defeating Javon Ladies 74-69 in game two. AI challenge had won the first game.
Action resumes on Friday with KIU Rangers playing against JKL Lady dolphins who lead the series 1-0 in the women’s category while Power will take on Our Saviour in game two. Power lead the series 1-0.
