Javon Ladies 38-87 KCCA Leopards
Martha Soigi hit a double of 25 points and 10 rebounds to keep alive KCCA Leopard’s unbeaten streak alive as they managed to overcome Javon Ladies with an 87-38 victory in the Women’s National Basketball league at MTN Arena, Lugogo.
Soigi who converted half of her 18 shots she made inside the perimeter, reluctantly said that it was not a great performance after the match.
“We won, but it was not a really good performance from us and we hope to do better next time,” Said Soigi.
KCCA Leopards imposed an early dominance winning the first quarter by 24-13, and the 4 time champions averaged over 20 points in the subsequent 3 quarters to seal a sweet victory.
KCCA leopards have had a perfect start so far this season, sweeping aside all their 8 opponents they have faced: KIU Rangers, JKL lady dolphins, A1 Challengers, Magic Stomers, Lioness, UCU lady Canons and Javon ladies, limiting the latter and Lioness to less than 40 points.
What next for the sides?
KCCA Leopards will look to finish their regular first round season unbeaten when they play Nkumba Marines on July 23 as Javon Ladies who still have a game in hand will return to action this month on 28th with a date against KIU Rangers.
