Ndejje Angels Vs KIU Titans

The National Basketball League returns on Saturday with five games on the card. The games are set to be played at YMCA Court in Wandegeya, Kampala.

The big game probably will see Ndejje Angels take on KIU Titans in a mouthwatering University derby, at 5:30 PM.

Ndejje Angels won the first round tie 78-81 on July 11, and Walked Obedi’s side will pray that history repeats itself, in their bid to produce another shock.

The Angels come into the game at the back of a 76-56 win over Our Saviour, a difficult game it was for them, though the scoreline may not suggest what truly transpired on the court.

Prior to that victory, the Angels had gone three games without a win – The side had lost to JKL Dolphins, Betway Power and UCU Canons.

KIU on the hand, will be looking to close the gap from the top two teams Betway Power and City Oilers who have won 18 and 17 wins in that order.

The Titans, who have won 15 games, have played two games less.

Since their loss to Ndejje, Brian Wathum’s Titans have won seven games on a trot – The side has overcome UCU, Sharing, Warriors, UPDF, Oilers and Rhino. Their next two games after Ndejje, to end the regular season, will be against Our Saviour and JKL.

It should be remembered that last season, KIU defeated Ndejje 66-69 in May before losing the second round game 65-68 in September.
