NBL: City Oilers Rally to Defeat Resilient UCU Canons

Both fresh from the Zone V championship, viagra 40mg City Oilers and UCU Canons produced a thrilling game with the latter nicking it in overtime.

In a game played at the MTN Arena, page Lugogo on Friday, Canons matched the Zone V champions for longer spells of the game and the Mande Juruni’s side needed overtime to edge UCU Canons 74-68.

The Mukono based side began the game explosively taking the first quarter 16-10 but City oiler rallied to claim the second period 16-11

By halftime, the gap had narrowed to just one point with UCU Canons leading 27-26.

The intensity continued throughout the rest of the game and the third quarter ended 45 apiece with the lead oscillating from side to another.

UCU canons seemed destined for a win opening a three point lead but a blunder from Jonathan Egau when he missed a layup gifted Oilers with Ben Komakech making a three pointer to level the game 63 all with 14 seconds to time.


Oilers added 11 points in overtime to win 74-68 limiting UCU canons to just five points.

Kami Kabange(City Oilers) and Fadhil Chuma(UCU Canons) had a joint game high scoring 22 points each.

The result means City Oilers finished the regular season in number one spot on points scored despite having same points (41) as KIU Titans. On the other hand UCU canons will finish the regular season in fifth position despite having one game more.

In the other game played on Friday, UPDF Tomahawks defeated Charging Rhinos 73-64 to brighten their chances of playing in the playoffs moving to 30 points, one adrift Star times Falcons. The two meet on Sunday in the battle to seal the final slot.
