JKL Dolphins and Nkumba Lady Marines capped up a rare Monday league schedule with victories.

Brian Namake scored 10 points, 12 rebounds and Six (6) assists to guide JKL Dolphins past Our Saviour.

The Veteran player has garnered 255 points in the regular season, an average of 13 points.

Namake has had the most steals in the season – 49. His 75 assists in this season, is only bettered by Ndejje’s Gauthier Badherra.

In the hard fought victory, JKL led 36-30 at halftime, and the side extended their lead to 10 points after the third quarter, 55-45. JKL maintained their lead in the next ten minutes to win a 10 point game.

Ivan Lumanyika (17), Yesmin Bushiri (12) and Daniel Orenga (11) also reached double point figures for JKL.

For Our Saviour, Frank Ogola scored 10 points, Joseph Wacha and Wilberforce Pirwoth added 17 points each.


This is JKL’s tenth (win) of the season, the side has lost as many games, from 20 attempts. JKL’s last two games to complete the regular season will be against KIU Titans and Pemba Warriors.

Our Saviour has lost 13 games, with 7 wins. This was the side’s fifth loss in a row since their last victory on July 28th, against UPDF. The side had earlier lost to Rhino, Sharing, Ndejje and UCU.

In the other ladies game, Brenda Ekon scored a game high 28 points as Nkumba eased past Angels.

Sarah Nassuna and Taussi Issa collected 13 and 11 points each for Tommy Drilleba’s team, in the loss.
