The Uganda Hockey Association technical committee has summoned the two National Teams (Men and Women) provisional squads that will start preparations for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The 49-player provisional squad comprises of 25 Men and 24 Women plus team officials and will undergo mandatory covid-19 testing in line with the Standard Operating Procedures to combat the global pandemic before resuming preps.
The team will be handled by newly appointed National teams head coach and Italian Francesco Richichi will be deputized by Vicente Arnold Kasasa and Sandra Namusoke.
Antonio Spignolo is the National teams goalkeepers’ coach and will be assisted by Matovu Byron while Emnanuel Ewochu is the team doctor.
The squad is expected to begin training this season prior to their engagement in the qualification campaign due to take place next year in Nairobi, Kenya.
