The management of Namboole Stadium has today granted permission to Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine to host his concert at the venue Next month.
The date of the concert has been pushed to 9th November if the musical promoters fulfills certain conditions set by the stadium management.
In a letter to Emma Promotions, the organizers of the concert Namboole stadium said “The stadium will avail you the facilities if you fulfill the requirements, terms and conditions.”
Among the conditions, the promoters have been asked to get police clearance that confirms that the event is allowed by the security agency.
“You are requested to make full payment for the venue charges to confirm your booking by 29th October,” reads part of the letter.
In the agreement, Namboole stadium and Emma promotions have agreed to hire out the venue at a tune of shs 32,000,000 payable before the concert.
Mr Roland Kyalisiima the Managing Director of Namboole stadium told the promoters that revelers shall not be allowed on the turf since the national team will be playing a match in the subsequent days.
“Accordingly you will not be allowed to access the turf, the tartan and running way will be used for equipment set up,” he said.
The manager directed Emma promotions to fulfill the requirements within two days.
“If the above conditions and terms plus those in the contract are acceptable to you, please sign and return at earliest but not later than two days,” he added.
Chimp corps efforts to get police comment on the development went futile since calls were not picked.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Inspector General of Police Okoth Ochola through Director of Operations had called off the concert saying that the stadium was fully booked until next year.
